The Disabled Students’ Program (DSP) is committed to ensuring that all students with disabilities have equal access to educational opportunities at UC Berkeley. Students with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, psychological disabilities, chronic health conditions, are deaf/HOH, blind/visually impaired, or who have other disabilities may receive a wide range of services. Services are individually designed based on the specific needs of each student as identified by DSP Disability Specialists. Services offered include:

ASUC Lecture Notes Online are available for free to disabled students if the service is deemed appropriate by the Disabled Students’ Program. To subscribe, visit the DSP office and talk to a counselor who may be able to approve the notes for you (lecturenotes.berkeley.edu; 510/642-1946).

Support services
Cal Transitions! connects students with disabilities with jobs, internships, community resources, and the Department of Rehabilitation. Recreational
Bay Area Outreach and Recreation Program (BORP) provides and facilitates recreation for people with physical disabilities. Free classes include track and field, wheelchair basketball, power soccer, and goal ball. BORP also sponsors outdoor adventure trips like skiing, rafting, and hiking. Volunteers with or without disabilities are all welcome (borp.org; 600 Bancroft Way; 510/849-4663).

Cal STAR assists people with disabilities in pursuing a healthy and fit lifestyle. Volunteers are available to offer individual attention (danyelm@berkeley.edu; Recreational Sports Facility; 510/643-8031).
