Counseling
Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS)
CPS provides personal, career, and academic counseling through individual and group sessions, couples counseling, and a career counseling program. Counselors are a multicultural group of licensed social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists (uhs.berkeley.edu/students/counseling; 510/642-9494).

Any Berkeley student can come in to talk about a personal problem-it could be about the stress of being at Berkeley, a family or relationship problem including domestic violence, feelings of anxiety or loneliness, eating problems, alcohol/drug problems-you name it. No issue is too large or small. You can make an appointment by calling or visiting CPS on the third floor of the Tang Center. There is no charge for the first consultation and initial two appointments.

Many students also take advantage of CPS's outstanding career counseling program that offers testing, counseling, and a career counseling library, all at no extra cost to students.
