Housing
The Convent is a student co-op that provides housing for 25 re-entry and graduate students. Formerly occupied by nuns, the facility has large communal areas, and all rooms are singles (to apply: USCA, www.usca.org/coops/conv.php; 2424 Ridge Road; housing@usca.org; 510/848-1936).

Re-entry Student Programs and Services
As part of the Transfer, Re-entry, and Student Parent Center (TRSP), re-entry student programs and services provide academic and non-academic support services to undergraduates 25 and older resuming their formal education after a break. The program offers a variety of courses, programs, and services designed to enhance the Cal academic experience (tsrp.berkeley.edu; 100 Cesar Chavez Student Center; trsp@berkeley.edu; 510/642-4257).

Education 198: Adult Learners in Higher Education (1 unit, P/NP) guides re-entry students through the transition to studies at Berkeley in making life and professional skills relevant in this academic environment.
Education 198: Culminating the Cal Experience (1 unit, P/NP) guides students in finding a path beyond Berkeley—either grad school or a professional career.
