Multiracial students
Academic
Ethnic Studies 150AC, People of Mixed Racial Descent (4 units), examines people of mixed race descent, focusing on the United States, but with reference to other nations for comparative purposes. The course includes historical perspective as well as exploring the psychology, sociology, literature, and cinema pertaining to the topic (ethnicstudies.berkeley.edu; 506 Barrows Hall; 510/643-0796).

Student groups
The Mixed Student Union is a student group that promotes multiculturalism and establishes unity of purpose using community building, outreach through leadership and service to the campus and greater community, and the promotion of awareness and education through dialogue about multiethnic and multicultural issues (mixedstudentunion.wordpress.com; 400 Eshleman Hall; mixedstudentunion@gmail.com).

Support
Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) can help students with identity concerns, interpersonal relationships, and the effects of racism that can bring about feelings of anxiety and/or depression. These common feelings can sometimes interfere with effective functioning and academic performance. Working with a counselor in a confidential, interactive, and nonjudgmental atmosphere can aid self-understanding and resolution of these concerns (Tang Center; uhs.berkeley.edu/students/counseling/index.shtml; 2222 Bancroft Way; 510/642-9494).
